THE ROLE

We're looking for a UI/UX Designer with strong videogame industry experience in User Interface, User Experience, and Graphic Design to join our team on a part-time to full-time basis throughout the next 6 months (maybe longer).

You'll work on Six Days in Fallujah, which launched recently into Steam Early Access as the world's #1-selling PC game and is being developed for full release on console and PC.

Our ideal candidate has experience crafting attractive, easy-to-read HUDs, menu navigation, and using Unreal Engine’s UMG to make all aspects of UI shine. You’ll focus on intuitive design and can craft minimalistic art to reflect the tone of Six Days. As a UI/UX Designer with us, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the success of this riveting title while collaborating with a diverse and talented group of creators.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with the Creative Director to take important UX/UI-heavy features from concept to completion on a live product
• Collaborate with Engineers and Game Designers to implement new features
• Work closely with producers and directors to scope and prioritize work
• Author iconography and use principals of graphic design to make beautiful, tone-specific menus and HUD
• Present work and clearly articulate rationale and design decisions

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of experience in game development UI/UX
• Graphic Design experience, especially in iconography and menu layout
• Proficiency in relevant software packages such as Unreal Engine (UMG experience is a major plus), Adobe Suite
• Experience in rapid prototyping to test the feasibility of concepts
• Experience in rapid generation of art mockups

COMPENSATION

This position pays a rate of $60/hour.
